Not Quite Getting the Knock Knock Jokes

A funny conversation I overheard today...

Sam (Tyler's buddy in the picture above), "Hey Ty, knock knock"
Tyler, "Who's there?"
Lisa (thinking to myself), "Tyler knows what knock knock jokes are? I didn't know that!"
Sam, "Boo"
Tyler, "Pooh? Winnie the Pooh?" (see how his mind goes directly to movies? I tell you, the kid is beyond obsessed!)
Sam, "No, Boo!"
Tyler, "Come on in, Pooh! Welcome to Tyler's house!"
Sam, "No, Ty, Boo! Boo! You are supposed to say Boo Who!"
Tyler, "Mom, Sammy keeps saying Poo! That's a potty word. We don't say that at Tyler's house."
Sam (getting more and more frustrated every second), "No I don't! Tyler, say Boo Who so I can say it's just a joke, you don't have to cry!"

I finally intervened once Sam was near tears because Tyler was just not getting it and Ty kept telling on him for saying naughty words. But since I was laughing so hard I was the one crying, I am sure that they were both confused. Luckily, fruit snacks solve most problems when you are almost 4.

Oh, how we miss those boys!! I can't believe how big Tyler and Sammy are!! It's hard to believe that we have 4-year-olds, huh?!? It's been fun but kind of crazy knowing that I'm going to be a momma of 3 soon! I have my ultrasound on the 25th so hopefully we'll know what we're having. I've learned, thanks to Paige, that babies have a mind of their own and can decide not to show you what gender they are! ;0) I hope you're doing well and that your house sells soon if it hasn't already!

Hey lisa I'm so glad you left me a comment. I've never seen your blog before. Your kids are gorgeous! I don't know about the going rate for babysitting but we paid $1000 for the week (plus some extra for fastfood and fun). That was for all 4 kids at our house. We have found that this works the best. The kids stay in their routine and that makes it easier to tend them.
